I’ve spent the last 20 years working in finance at various levels, and if there’s one thing that time has taught me, it’s this: change never happens on paper alone. You can have the best designed processes, the smartest systems, and the clearest project plan but if the people involved aren’t on board, the change won’t stick.
In finance, I saw this play out over and over again. I worked closely with executives making big decisions about strategy and budgets, and just as closely with assistants, payroll teams, and staff on the ground trying to keep up with shifting processes. I learned how different people experience the same change in completely different ways and how important it is to create space for every voice.
My own journey also shaped how I approach this work. I know what it feels like to go through change that’s imposed, to have your voice overlooked, and to feel the weight of resistance both from others and within yourself. That experience is why I’m so passionate about making change work by being collaborative rather than top down, empowering rather than disruptive and by creating a change process that sticks.
Today, as a Change Adoption Coach, I bring both my professional background and personal insight to help organisations navigate the human side of technology projects. Whether it’s an ERP, payroll, or financial system, I work with leaders to think through the “why” behind their decisions, and with teams to build trust, confidence, and readiness. My role isn’t to tell people what to do it’s to guide, coach, and create the conditions where people feel able to embrace the change and make it their own.
Because when people feel heard, supported, and equipped, technology doesn’t just get implemented it gets adopted. And that’s where transformation really happens.
